abÅ·²©¹ú¼Ê Sustainability
As a family-owned company with six generations in Oregon, abÅ·²©¹ú¼Ê has a deep commitment to future generations.
OUR MILLS
Our century-old mills in abÅ·²©¹ú¼Ê, Oregon, and Washougal, Washington, are continually updated to meet or exceed all standards of safety, productivity and sustainability. Both are OEKO-TEX® STeP certified—a milestone on our path to sustainability for all mill products. See below for more info on the certification.
The Natural Sustainability of abÅ·²©¹ú¼Ê Wool
Wool is a naturally biodegradable, renewable fiber that lasts longer than other natural or synthetic fibers. Its production doesn’t require the use of harmful chemicals or pollutants. Wool can also be recycled or repurposed, further reducing its environmental impact.

ECO-WISE WOOL: A PENDLETON INNOVATION
Blankets and shams made from our exclusive Eco-Wise Wool® can be tossed in your washer and dryer—they won’t shrink, pill or fade.

These customer favorites are sustainably made in our Washington mill.
Relationships With Our Wool Growers
abÅ·²©¹ú¼Ê has long-standing relationships with wool ranchers across the USA, with some providing wool to abÅ·²©¹ú¼Ê for nearly a century. Not only is much of our wool grown in this country, it’s also spun, dyed and woven in our Pacific Northwest mills. Sourcing from local growers helps reduce our carbon footprint.
